What are the killers of good relationship?

The continuous and seemingly unending waves of domestic violence and crimes committed by one party against another that has to do with maiming and murdering of another party begins from time immemorial.

The tempo of this level of deep inhumanity is totally alarming and it has its root in hatred and it’s route in human being not given premium to the sanctity of life.

Without any iota of doubt,the sanctity of human life has gone down the drain and the safety of life has become cheap which has become a source of concern to everyone existing on the earthly pedestal.

 

According to domestic violence statistics and facts from National domestic violence statistics,it is on record that:

1.National Domestic Violence Statistics

1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (CDC, 2017)
1 in 10 women in the United States will be raped by an intimate partner in her lifetime. (CDC, 2010)
Approximately 16.9% of women and 8.0% of men will experience sexual violence other than rape by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime. (CDC, 2010)
Data on sexual violence against men may be underreported.

 

An estimated 9.7% of women and 2.3% of men have been stalked by an intimate partner during their lifetime. (CDC, 2017)
Nearly half of all women and men in the United States will experience psychological aggression by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (CDC, 2017)
Over half of female and male victims of rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner experienced some form of intimate partner violence for the first time before 25 years of age. (CDC, 2010)

 

2.Domestic Violence Statistics by Race/Ethnicity
Almost half (47.5%) of American Indian/Alaska Native women, 45.1% of non-Hispanic Black women, 37.3% of non-Hispanic White women, 34.4% of Hispanic women, and 18.3% of Asian-Pacific Islander women experience contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. 3.Domestic Violence Statistics on Sexual Orientation
2 in 5 lesbian women, 3 in 5 bisexual women, and 1 in 3 heterosexual women will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (CDC, 2010)
1 in 4 gay men, 1 in 3 bisexual men, and 3 in 10 heterosexual men will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (CDC, 2010).

From the above statistics,one could easily confirmed how fast the waves of domestic violence is eating up the fabrics of human existence sporadically.

 

The underlining factor and decimal is all about good human relationship becoming scarce and unavailable and the spread of hatred among those who claimed to be in one relationship or the other at one point in time.

 

The purpose of good human relationship is becoming defeated and it is essentially becoming a burden to those who claimed to be partners at one point or the other.

 

This makes violence by individuals against another individuals a recurring decimal frequently being a show available on a daily basis.

There is no relationship  that is expected to wear a toga of perfection but it is expected to be built gradually on tolerance but not perfection.

 

Human relationship is essentially what has been keeping humanity going without any clog and it is when good human relationship is established that essence of humanity becomes achievable without any doubt.

 

In recent years,the reverse has been the case.Relationship becomes sour,acidic and toxic with life being snuff out on a daily basis.

 

It is on this note,it become a necessity to look at what are the killers of good relationship .

WHAT ARE THE KILLERS OF GOOD RELATIONSHIP ?

Among other factors available,these are essentially some of the killers of good relationship.

1.Selfishness

2.Dishonesty.

3.Insensitivity.

4.Greed and covetousness.

5.Lack of empathy and sympathy

6.Ego and Pride.

7.Ingratitude

8.Strong-headedness and being inconsiderate.

9.Being domineering and controlling.

10.Disrespect.

These are some of the factors that eat up a good relationship that started well until it becomes a source of concern to the parties involved.

 

Such a relationship becomes sour, acidic and toxic, though it might involve a form of management for its survival but it leads to abuse and cheating when the parties involved find its management difficult and hard to control.

 

Domestic violence is real as every form of violence is real.

 

No one should wait for when it becomes energy sapping and life threatening that any reasonable mind will understand its veracity in reducing the existence of humanity.

 

Good relationship matters a lot but those who desire it must be ready to pay the price of making it work out by being selfless ,committed,dedicated and persevering in ensuring that everyone  involved becomes better in the course of the relationship .

In conclusion, anyone desiring to live a good and a meaningful life should strive to mold good relationship with like minds who understands the exigencies of good relationship.
