Obj attacked over fulanization and islamization claims.

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has come under fire afresh from a southwest group Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum which has accused him of crying wolf when there is none over alleged gradual Fulanisation and Islamisation of Nigeria.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Forum discarded Obasanjo’s alarm saying on Wednesday, June 5 that land displacements and reprisals are responsible for Fulani-related clashes in northern Nigeria.
President of the Forum, Akin Malaolu, said in a statement it is totally wrong to give it religious or ethnic colouration.

“We can say succinctly that former president Obasanjo was deliberately deceitful and in greater dishonesty in his phantom claim.
”History which relied on facts and evidences are both missing in his conjectures. Modern generation of our youths and some elders may not understand that the North experienced two eras that shaped their entire land.
“The system of government before the advent of jihad was a period of prosperity that made it possible for slaves to rise through various tasks including the military,
”But with their conquest, the system of administration changed drastically and weakened the slaves and to their offspring.

“History recorded the events that gave the Fulani people a space in modern day Nigeria and their foothold in the North came through conquest beginning from 1808 [211 years ago]”
Recall that Legit.ng Obasanjo on Saturday, May 18, claimed the aim of the terror sect Boko Haram is ‘Fulanisation’ of West Africa and Islamisation of Africa.
Obasanjo said this in a keynote address at the 2019 Synod of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), held in Oleh, Isoko South council area of Delta state.
He spoke on the topic ‘Mobilizing Nigeria’s human and natural resources for national development and stability.’

Do you know that Donald Trump is forgetful?

Donald Trump had to be rescued from a tricky moment by his wife, Melania, when he failed to recognise a statue at Buckingham Palace that he had given the Queen last summer.
The US president was shown a pewter horse that he gave as a gift when they met in July last year, and was asked whether he recognised it. He replied “no”.
Melania came to his rescue, saying: “I think we gave that to the Queen.”
He had given the thoroughbred statue in polished pewter on his visit to Windsor.

Forbes Magazine declares Jay z as the first Hip Hop Billionaire.

JAY-Z has made history as hip-hop’s first official billionaire, according to Forbes magazine.
The Empire State of Mind rap mogul, real name Shawn Carter, has amassed the fortune thanks to his many savvy business endeavours, which includes partnerships with alcohol brands Armand de Brignac and D’Usse, respectively worth an estimated $310 million (£245.2 million) and $100 million (£79.1 million), $100 million for his music streaming service Tidal, and $75 million (£59.3 million) each for his Roc Nation label and his own music catalogue.
The publication’s financial experts also take into account his private art collection, worth around $70 million (£55.4 million), and the $50 million (£40 million) he owns in real estate.
In addition, JAY-Z boasts $220 million (£174 million) in cash and investments, including a $70 million stake in on-demand car service app Uber.

The overall figures have also been adjusted to account for the cost of his “superstar lifestyle”, and don’t include his pop icon wife Beyonce’s own finances, which previously made the couple worth more than a billion combined.
“Jay-Z has accumulated a fortune that conservatively totals $1 billion, making him one of only a handful of entertainers to become a billionaire – and the first hip-hop artist to do so,” journalist Zack O’Malley Greenburg writes.
Producer and close friend Swizz Beatz, who has worked closely with JAY-Z over the years, has hailed the 49 year old’s latest achievement as a big win for black culture.

“It’s bigger than hip-hop… it’s the blueprint for our culture,” he tells Forbes. “A guy that looks like us, sounds like us, loves us, made it to something that we always felt that was above us.”

“If he’s a billionaire now, imagine what he’s about to be, because he’s only just starting.”
The news emerges five years after fellow rap legend Dr. Dre claimed to have cracked the billion dollar mark after selling his Beats by Dre electronics brand to Apple bosses for more than $3 billion.
However, Forbes experts insist Dre’s fortune doesn’t quite compare, as his net worth is around $850 million (£672.3 million).
