How Ex-NIMASA DG goes to Jail finally.

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday sentenced a former Acting Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Calistus Obi, to seven years imprisonment for N136 million fraud.

Recall that the Ex-DG in February 2018, during his cross-examination at his trial over the alleged offence admitted that part of the N331 million belonging to the agency which he was alleged to have diverted was used in building an hotel.

The court gave him an option of N42million fine and also refused to order the forfeiture of his seized assets.
