The original version of this article which also double as the source of line of thought that triggers this presentation was published by a fellow on Facebook recently.

I believed to a large extent that this article will serve as a source of motivation and inspiration cum being an eye-opener to all our avid readers, followers, viewers and the would-be followers who might like to be part of http://mlst.blog.

Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor and businessman, who has been described as America’s greatest inventor. He is credited with developing many devices in fields such as electric power generationmass communicationsound recording, and motion pictures. These inventions, which include the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and the long-lasting, practical electric light bulb, had a widespread impact on the modern industrialized world. He was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and teamwork to the process of invention, working with many researchers and employees. He is often credited with establishing the first industrial research laboratory.

Edison was raised in the American midwest and early in his career he worked as a telegraph operator, which inspired some of his earliest inventions.[4] In 1876, he established his first laboratory facility in Menlo Park, New Jersey, where many of his early inventions would be developed. He would later establish a botanic laboratory in Fort Myers, Florida in collaboration with businessmen Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, and a laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey that featured the world’s first film studio, the Black Maria. To give up is to invite complete defeat.

Defeat starts when you throw in the towel to the challenges around you.

And not only in connection with the matter at hand.

Giving up contributes to an ultimate defeat of your personality. It tends to develop a defeat psychology that is potent, toxic and acidic enough to mar the beauty of your destiny thereby making its fulfillment totally impossible.

If you don’t give up, you still have a chance.

Giving up can be described as the greatest failure and the greatest tragedy that can happen to any man.
Remember that there are countless examples of people from every nook and cranny of the world who have tried countlessly before they were successful in a variety of areas.

One example that stuck to my mind is that of Thomas Edison who tried several times to invent the light bulb.

According to one of Thomas Edison greatest quotes that defines what perseverance entails is:

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

Perseverance is what it takes for anyone’s desire to become a reality. It is the only cure for any form of challenges persisting over a long period of time to fizzle out.

Perseverance is the only antidote to any form of challenges that are available on earthly pedestal.

It triggers solutions to any form of problem if the interest to find necessary solution to any problem is available.

No great feat and laudable evergreen accomplishment and achievement can be obtained without the power of perseverance being maximized and optimized in finding solutions to any form of challenge that might be bedeviling human existence at a point in time.

Perseverance breeds boldness and optimism that are needed in sticking to the gun when others are chicken out in the face of challenges.

Boldness and optimism enable and enhanced self confidence and positive mentality that believe in the concept and context that there is solution to every challenge being faced by anyone.

Talk about perseverance and never giving up – Thomas Edison was a true optimist.
God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggles and a reward for your faithfulness. The greatest service you can offer the world is to be your own authentic, weird and eccentric self that could become noticeable until you make every effort in being resolute in making your desire to become a reality even though such desire might be unpopular and no one is ready to support you at the point when you need help.

Ironically, human being have been seen to have the best of themselves amidst challenges.

The best of anyone surfaces when such a person is faced with challenges that seems to defy solutions.

Be yourself and become aware of when your primitive mind chooses the wrong path or action. The moment you start prioritizing your inner soul you will notice that you accept yourself for the way you are, and you will be at ease.
There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.

One thing is for sure, though, without a purpose, without a stated direction, you can wander around this world and play at life and not accomplish anything of significance and meaning.
One thing I have learned over the years is that to be something you are not or to pretend you are one way outwardly but totally different inwardly, or at home, or with everyone else but a few, you are causing inner emotional turmoil.

Perseverance simply connotes persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

From above definition of perseverance, it can simply be denoted and deducted that every meaningful and successful endeavor is always accompanied with a corresponding difficulty that always makes such endeavor to look unpopular and unachievable especially at the beginning of such endeavor but if the person involved or the parties who initiated such an idea could be patient and resolute in their approach to ensure that such endeavor becomes achievable, such an endeavor might end up becoming a legacy that will stand the test of time.

Many legacies have been made in the course of human endeavor on earth and so many other legacies are being made presently on a daily basis but one could observe that the making of any endeavor that might end up in becoming a legacy can never be possible without such legacy being made by perseverance, resoluteness, patience, commitment and dedication.

Perseverance makes a person to learn about the beauty of patience which must be garnished with dedication, commitment and hard work would make such a person to appreciate the beauty of success that ends in being the outcome of any endeavor.

Though, staying resolute in ensuring that an endeavor becomes successful is always a hard nut to crack, it takes a mind that is strong and focused to ensure that success becomes achievable despite the challenges and difficulties that are strong enough to mar or pull down the purpose of such endeavor.

Therefore, perseverance is an adventure needed to make the best of any endeavor to the point of it becoming successful.

The key to success is perseverance and the password needed in making a legacy of any endeavor remains on the platform of perseverance.

Those who desire success and the achievement of great feats in life must be schooled and groomed on what perseverance entails.

  • Being resolute to a fault.
  • Understanding the purpose of your chosen endeavor.
  • Being dedicated, committed to an endeavor.
  • Understanding the positivity of failure, disappointment and rejection.
  • Being focused and refusing to be distracted.
  • Being blind to mockers and deaf to destructive critics.

Thomas Edison is one of a kind that best defines and describe what perseverance is all about and what it should be when anyone really desire to make a laudable achievement in life.

Those who want to be successful in life should learn more about what the perspective of Thomas Edison is all about that made him to remain resolute in making sure that the invention of light bulb becomes a reality after making trial for 1000 times.

No matter what people’s view about your concept is, never disturb yourself with how supportive they are.

Be bothered about what you are after and what will the end of such endeavor be.

Be yourself and run after your goals.
