Our connectivity with divinity is marred, mauled and destroyed when we are grossly enmeshed in sin.Our relationship with God suffers setback when sin is in place.
God stays off when we spend our life wallowing in iniquity.
The presence of God in our life simply connites the presence of grace. When God stays off, grace simply stays off.Likewise when sin stays, grace leaves. The enemy of grace is sin.Sin and grace cannot be yoked together by any standard, principle, idealogy and philosophy.
When one stays, the other must leave or disappear—Romans 6 vs 1-23.
Just as darkness fizzle out when light appears, grace also disappear when sin appears.
The rememberance of the death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ is incomplete without the desire to live a righteous life. The purpose of celebrating Easter is to give all mankind grace to overcome the stronghold of sin through salvation.
A meaningful Easter will be obtainable when you take your mind away from the celebration and focus your eyes on the grace offered by redemption through the death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ.
This the right moment to ask God fpr grace to overvcome sin. Many people celebrate the remembrance of the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ but few desire understanding and adhering to the purpose of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day.
God desired that we are holy just as HE is holy.
A complete and meaningful Easter celebration is exhibited by asking God for forgiveness which is expressed by livung a sanctified life.
The publication was originally presented on my facebook page on the 8th of November 2917 and I believe it will serve a purpose of informing my avid readers, viewers and followers.
It goes thus:
The recent publications about casualties recorded at the Mediterrenean Sea that engulfed every media space in which about twenty-six Nigerian women or ladies lost their lifes is quite appalling, disheartning and disappointing.
It can be concluded to be result of a society that has lost her values in all ramifications thereby making her inhabitants and occupants to start looking for solutions desperately even at the expense of their lifes.
Our society in this part of the world is a society that has her consciousness and sensitivity platformed on some ideologies and philosophies that are quite suicidal in all facet sicne the idealogies and philosophies are premised on the fact that critical and desperate situations warrant critical and desperate solution, a kind of belief that trigger and spur the superiority of extremism over existentialism.
There are some sorts of creed that makes the essence of existentialism to be subjected toextremism thereby making existentialism to be inferior in all ramification.Hence, many prefer the concept of extremism to existentialism even if it warrants putting their lifes on the line.
Our society has made some people to believe in the worship of god of mammon whereby you are waht you are based on the financial status quo you are known for.Hence, everybody struggle and strife immensely without giving a damn about whose ox is gored to accummulate properties and acquire wealth at the expense of their lifes and that of the next person around them.
Hence, they become hell bent in search of greene pasturesby embarking on a suicide mission to Europe through the desert and through the sea.
Many arguments are on course now about Nigeria government being indifferent to the news of these ladies that lost their lifes.I wonder why we keep blaming Nigeria government on this without subjecting the issue at hand to root cause analysis that will proffer meaningful solutions to this issue this menace that is eating deep the fabrics of Nigerian society.
Day-in-day-out, there have been a lot of jingles sponsored by the National Orientation Agency NOA warning desperate and innocent Nigerians on the dangers of embarking on a self-destructive journey into Europe through desert and through the sea but we can see that many of us have allowed our reasoning to become blur by our inordinate quest for wealth and materialism at all cost.
Since they are all ladies and their corpses were discovered close to Italy, it can be concluded that they are on a journey to add to the census and statistics of prostitution netwiork and drug trafficking cartel in Italy but their hope was dashed and varnished into thin air in the middle of the high sea.
It is pertinent for the Nigerian society to be subjested to treatment and sensitization against the evil of inordinate quest for materilaism and wealth.
Any society that glorify and grandeurises money and all its offers will end up trading and mortgaging her future for money accompanied with the loss of lifes of her young who are believed to be leaders of tommorrow.
A progressive society has her yopung ones weeping for the death of the old but a retrogressive society that is hell bent on wealth and material acquisition at all cost will have the old weeping for the death of the young ones.
Such society can be asserted to have a bleak future.
What makes a bad society is when the elders in such society are busy doing nothing in checkmating the extreme desire of the younger generation for money and gold.
They ended up loosing their lifes in search of greener pastures because they forget that the pastures are always green anywhere in the world even in the desrt but time and season for pastures becoming green differs from each other.
Therefore,it is seasonal.
It is when the millenia understand the concept of time and season as it affects life that they will stop embarking on an endeavour that will take their lifes or soil their image.
The Nigeria Government shoild engage more stringent measures to curtail and nib in the bud the cartel of human trafficking that are orchestrating the illegal exodus of Nigerian youth into the heart of Europe in order to facilitate their illicit and dirty businesses that have to do with prostitution, drug trafficking and human trafficking.
The Nigeria borders are known to be porous and permissible, and this has made this illegal trade of human beings so easy in this part of the world.Presently, there should be an arm of our security agencies and parameters that will be empowered constitutionally to trail and burst this anti-social organisation that is feeding fat on the innocence of desperate Nigerians.
In the meantime, all media spacies were awashed with news of the burial conducted on the 17th nopf November 2017 by the Italian Government with the news of the burial becoming an International headlines. The results of the autopsies have being confirmed that the girls likely drowned, according to the Guardian.
‘There were no signs that they had been raped or physically abused’ a medic who worked on the postmortem examinations of the bodies said.”They most likely couldn’t swim”.
All but two of the girls found remain nameless. The two young women authoritioes were able to identify were pregnant,Reuters reported.
Marian Shaka, was named by her husband, and Osato Osaro, was identified by her brother who had been in the boat with her according to CNN.
In the meantime, the effort of Italian Government for giving them a befitting burial is appreciated and recognised eventhough Nigeria Government didnt see any reason in being represented in the burial of her citizen that lost their lifes.

At least 200 people have been killed and scores are missing in the southern Philippines after a tropical stormtriggered severe flooding and landslides that also wrecked Christmas for tens of thousand of survivors.
Tropical storm Temblin lashed Mindanas island, home to 20million people,on Friday with strong gusts and torrential rain, wiping out at least one mountain village and prompting a massive rescue operation.
Police said 144 people remained missing while more than 40,000 had fled their homes to evacuation camps at Temblin roared out into South China early sunday.
A total of 70,000 have been displaced or otherwise affected by the stormaccording to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies(IFRC),which warned that continued heavy rain could hamper the search for survivors.
“People left everything behind when they fled for their live,”the IFRC’s Philippines operations and programmes manager Patrick Elliot said in a statement.
The archipelago nation is pummelled by major storms every year, many of them deadly.Mindanas tends to be less affected and officials said this may have caused many to ignore warnings to move to safer ground.
One of the places hit hardest was the mountain village of Dalama, which was virtually wiped off the map as rampaging flood waters carried away 103 houses.
Footage on ABS-CBN showed houses were destroyed or engulfed by floodwaters and rescuers retrieving the body of a girl buried in a landslide.
Police, soldiers and volunteers used shovels and their bare hands to dug through mud and debris in their search for survivors.
“The flood was already close and the people were not able to get out from their homes”Armando Sangcopan,an elderly male survivor, told the station.
“We called for forced evacuation, preemptive evacuation in certain areas. We are saddened by the (large) numbers of casualties.”
Romina Marasigan, spokeswoman for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council told reporters in Manila.
In the town of Kabasalan in Zamboanga, dozens of family huddled in the homes f neighbours on Christmas Eve,two days after the flood carried off 40 houses killing three people with one other missing, said local civil defense chief Junalyn Masarillo.
“This a disaster. They dont think about Christmas. All they think about is what they will eat today,”she told AFP.
The storm swept into south China Sea before sunday after hitting the western tourist island of Palawan overnight saturday, the state weather service said.
“So far zero casualies, but we have accounts of some people missing.Palawan civil defence Zaldy Ablana told DZMM radio on sunday.
But in Palawan fishing village,a 53-year-old manwas killedby crocodile while seecuring his boat in a river.
Temblin struck less than a week a Tropical Storm Kai-Tak left scores dead and more thatn 20 missing in the central Pihilippines, straining the disaster- prone nation already stretched resources.
The deadliest typhoon to hit the conytry is still Haiyab, which killed thousands nd destroyed enyire town heavily populated ares of the Central Phillipine in November 2013.
According to the report published by Tom Powell of Evening Standard online news.
The CIA was working to kill Fidel Castro on the day John F Kennedy was assassinated, newly released files reveal.
The latest batch of JFK documents, published online on Thursday contain details of a US plot to kill the Cuban leader with a lethal ballpoint pen.
President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on November 22,1963.On the same day, a CIA officer in Paris gave a Cuban asset a pen rigged with a syringe.
“The evidence indicates that the meeting was under way at the very moment President Kennedy was shot”the document says.
The plot was one of many considered by US defense forces to remove Castro, who was feared by Kennedy as detailed in the files.
“We cannot overemphasize the extent to which responsible Agency officers felt themselves subject to kennedy administration’s severe pressures to do something about Castro and his regime”the report says.
The release of more than 13000 records by US National Archives is the fourth release of documents this year.
Most of the overall collection comprising about five million pages of records has been released to the public but some documents have been withheld over the years to protect individuals intelligence sources and methods and national security.
The latest documents are being released according to a law that President George H.W.Bush signed on October 26,1992.
That law required all records related to the assassination being released 25 years, unless the president says doing so would harm intelligence, law enforcement, military operations or foreign relations.
Last month, on the 25-year deadline,President Donald Trump wrote in a memorandum that he had”no choice” but to agree to requests from some government agencies to continue withholding certain information.
Mr.Trump, however, directed agencies to again review each of their redactions during the next 180days.
He said agency heads needed to be extremely circumspect in recommending that information still needed to be withheld from the public.
Government agencies have until March to tell the National Archives why any part of their records should still be redacted.
The records included in this latest public release have not been re-reviewed by the agencies as part of the process.
Conspiracy theorists have long questioned the official conclusion the Mr Kennedy was murdered in Dallas by Lee Harvey Oswald and that he was acting alone.
According to a publication on http://www.independent.co.uk on the 13th of November 2017 by Bethan Mckernan in Beirut, death toll in magnitude quake climbs as rescuers continue search for survivors in a badly hit Iranian town of Sarpol-e-Zahab.
The number of people killed in an earthquake that struck Iran’s western province has risen to 407,officials have said.
Iranian state news said on Monday that most of the casualties are from border town of Sarpol-e-zahab in Kermanshah province.
Behman Saedi,a spokesman for the country’s crisis management headquarters was quoted by the semi-official Fars and Tasnim news agencies as saying the death toll was now 407.
A further 6700 people have been injured, and the emergency services warned the toll was likely to increase as they gained access to more remote mountanous areas.
A total of 70,000 people are in need of emergency shelter across fourteen affected provinces around the country, the Iranian Red Crescent warned in a statement.
Electricity has been cut off in many cities across the two countries and fear of aftershocks has driven many people outside despite cold November temperatures.
Rescue workers continued despite the difficulties posed by landslides and health ministry put out a call for emergency blood donations.
At least 14 provinces across the country had been affected, local media reported.Awoman and her baby were reportedly pulled out alive from the rubble.
“We need a shelter”,a middle-aged man in Sarpol-e-Zahab told state TV.
“Where is the aid?Where is the help?”.
His family could not spend another night outside in cold weather, he said.
Relief workers said while much aid had been pledged, there was an immediate need for blankets, childrens’clothes, medicine and large cans to store drinking water.TV aired footage of some people weeping next to corpses shrouded in blankets.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khmenei has offered his condolences and three days of mourning have been announced in Kermanshah.Anational day of mourning was announced for Tuesday.
In Iraq, the earthquake killed at least seven people and injured 535 others, all in the country’s northern semi-autonomous Kurdish region, according to its interior ministry.
Turkey, despite recent tensions over the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government’s(KRG) controversial independence referendum, said on Monday it would send aid including tents, beds, heaters and food to help alleviate the situation expressing “deep sadness”at the loss of life.
Many of the heavily damaged complexes in Sarpol-e-Zahab were part of the construction projects begun under former hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The disparity in the fatality figures between the two countries immediately drew questions from Iranians, especially because so much of the town was new.
Kokab Fard, a 49-year-old woman from the town, said that she could only flee empty-handed when her apartment complex began to shake.”Immediately after I managed to get out, the building collapsed…I have no access to my belongings,”she said.
Raza Mahammadi,51,said he and his family ran to the alley following the first shock.”I tried to get back to pick some stuff but it totally collapsed in the second wave.”Mr Mohammadi said.
The magnitude 7.3 quake was centred was centred 31kilometres(19miles) outside the eastern Iraqi City of Halabja, the US Geological Survey said.It struck at a relatively shallow depth of 23.2kilometres(144miles),which usually leads to broader surface-level damage, and tremous recorded as far west as the Israeli coast of the Mediterenean and as far South of Baghdad.
“I was sitting with my kids having dinner and suddenly the building was just dancing in the air”Majida Ameer, who ran out of her Baghdad home, said.
“I thought at first that it was a huge bomb. But then heard everyone around me screaming:’Earthquake!”‘
Iran, which sits on several geological fault lines, is prone to earhquakes.A magnitude 6.6 quake in 2003 killed 26,000 in the city of Bam.
She is a 29-year-old virgin who is happier by herself and finds kissing “awkward”.But this hasn’t stopped Lauren from a deeply religious community in Manitoba,Canada, from finding a sperm donor and she is now expecting her first baby in June.
She has gone against advice from her family, friends and doctors, and says that she is looking forward to being a virgin mother.
Lauren says that she is happy to remain a virgin for the rest of her life and hopes that the baby will help her escape a dating market that she finds difficult to deal with.
However,Lauren also suffers with hypopituitarism,a rare disorder that affects her hormones and has had a significant impact on her from young age.
She told VICE:
“I was born with hypopituitarism which means my pituitary gland is not formed properly.”
“It doesn’t send the right hormonal messages to the other glands in the body, like the adrenaline gland or the ovaries.”
This means that Lauren experienced puberty far later in life than a lot of her friends and peers-something that they were well aware of.
“I got teased for being flat chested or having a buck teeth.Kids would latch on to anything that was different”.
“A lot of that teasing has given me social anxiety to this day.My life started improving when I started looking like everyone else.”
Lauren also admits that she finds dating pointless. She says that, although she has been on a few dates,it’s just not for her’and she prefers to focus on herself.
However, she confessed that after becoming pregnant, there have been times when she has thought about having sex with someone just to see what it would be like.
Yet even her experiences with kissing have left her feeling awkward and unsure and she says that kissing somone is not something that she wants to ‘relive’
Dating websites have also failed to attract her with Lauren saying that some of the messages she received from men online left her shocked and disgusted.
However, the 29-year-old mother-to-be says the hardest challenged she’s faced with her hormone issues is actually getting pregnant.
“The hardest thing was probably getting pregnant.Initially my endocrinologist said it won’t happen, that I’ll need to get an egg donor and spend tens of thousands of dollars on IVF.I felt really shut down.”
Yet her doctor referred her to a fertility clinic anyway and after an agonising year-long wait,Lauren said her life changed.
And yet, despite the pressures of her family and growing up in an extremely religious community,Lauren is adamant that religion is not her motivation for motherhood.
Speaking about people who said she couldn’t have a baby until she was married,Lauren said:
“It’s the opposite of a religious reason. If you’re telling me I can’t do this,I’m going to do it anyway.”
WHAT IS HYPOPITUITARISM?
The pituitary gland produces a number of hormones or chemicals which are released into the blood to control other glands in the body.If the pituitary is not producing one or more of these hormones, or not producing enough, then this condition is known as HYPOPITUITARISM.
Common effects of the disorder include:
1.Excessive tiredness and decresed energy.
3.reduced body hair.
4.irregular periods(oligomenorrhoea) or loss of normal menstrual function(amenorrhoea).
6.decrease in sex drive.

Yinka Ayefele has spoken concerning his sexual life after he survived a spinal cord accident that almost ended his life on December,12,1997.
Yinka revealed that the first day he had an erection while on the sick bed, everyone was excited because the doctors had concluded that he would never be eble to perform sexually again.
He further noted that his life would have become meaningless had he not regained the ability to have erection.
Celebrating 20years of survival, he told punch “After the accident, everyone jubilated when I had erection one afternoon.
“I was wondering why they were rejoicing and they told me the doctors said I would not be able to have an erection again. They had reached the conclusion without my knowledge.
“Even in the midst of the trouble,my girlfriend, now my wife never abandoned me.
“She didn’t leave me when I was hospitalised,so why would she leave me afterwards? When things were bad,she was with me all through. We got married after the accident and we are blessed with four boys.
“I can still remember my response tojournalist who wanted to be sure I could impregnate a woman.I told him to bring his sister if he wanted a confirmation. It used to be embarrassing when people questioned my sexual ability.
“Even if I am unable to make love to a woman, should that make them happy?Even if my wife and I opted for IVF,is it something to gloat about?”.
The famous singer added that he still feels pains after the accident though he has stopped taking pills.
“I am still feeling pains;I am always in pain everyday.Pills cannot stop the pains and I am conscious of what I take in,but I thank God I have been able to cope.I give thanks to God for sparing my life.
“I personally thought I would die, but my parents and loved ones encouraged me to stay alive. They felt bad,but they didn’t want to lose me.My father was alive then, but I lost him two years ago.He was so supportive all through the trying times.
Early this morning,my mind just transcend into a realm that ended up into a reflection triggering a thought about a familiar and his story in recent years bothered my conscience to the point that I ended up asking myself this question that made the title of this piece intended to be a source of inspiration and motivation for me and everyone that is interested in reading along with me.
It goes thus:
He was in a relationship with his fiancee and the relationship has been on course for years with the expectation that both will soon walk down the isle.At a point, preparation for introduction was already at a top gear with the two love-birds preparing to know and familiarise with members of their families.
The joy of the fulfilment of the expected proposed introduction of the two families were overwhelming with both couples looking ahead to witness a moment and a day whereby what they have invested their time and resources into for couples of years will soon become a reality.
The unexpected happen and it was grievious to the point that the relationship was finally put asunder.
The lady in question was on her way to her country home for a funeral ceremony of a family member and while on their way to her country home, she lost her life in a ghastly auto-crash and the relationship went into an abyss.
News of her death was received with waves of shock and the guy in question nearly lost his mind in the course of this occurrence.
It was at this point the relationship crashed just as the life of the lady in question varnished into a thin air.
The guy in question spent a bunch of his time to mourn the irreparable loss of his fiancee over a long period of time which subjected him to physical emaciation and psychological depriviation.
This is not in anyway strange at all for anyone who has lost a loved one.It is normal that the person concerned should spent bunch of his precious time to mourn the exit of someone dear to him.
The character in the eye of the storm had this experience in 2014, he is a guy that is of age, close to 40 years or even above 40 years, and at this age, every one expected that after close to four years of the demise of his fiancee, he ought to have taken a step in starting another relationship but to the best of my understanding, he is not in any relationship and he seems not to be interested not to talk of making any trial or attempt that will end up making him to walk down the isle with someone soon.
It was this issue that was on my mind this morning and while ruminating about his ordeal, all I could ask myself was that:
“When will he stop mourning?”
“Will he take a decade or a century to mourn the loss of his heartrob?”
“If so, when will he attempt another relationship with another lady?”
“When will the marital bell ring?”
Though, these arrays of questions might be difficult to answer by the concerned person because the deceased might be the best among the best but one factual reality in life is that there can never be an end to the best. There will always be the best of every human specie as long as we are ready to invest the necessary resources make the best out of every human.
In order not to drift to the extreme, let’s reason together in inspiring and motivating each other.
It is known fact that the beauty of life is cheapily and easitly expressed amidst the grip of challenges.Challenges are the major parameters and decimals that make the purpose of humanity to find reasonable expression in the course of existence on earth.
More often than none, challenges always surface in a negative and in a retrogressive order but many challenges that have been conquered and chronicled in the annals of human history were known to end up with positivity accompanied by productivity being enhanced.
So, while we are experiencing a down moment and while we are having a negative upturn of reality in the course of our existence on earth,it is expedient for you and I to have a deep understanding that our challenges if they are managed properly and maintained effectively, they are inherently potent enough to launch us to a realm whereby we become better and our story of victory will make us to become a cynosure of all eyes.
It is normal, acceptable and human for anyone who lost a loved one to mourn and remained saddened but it is essential that while anyone is passing through this phase that you allow your eyes to be opened in clarity to behold the beauty of life that lies ahead of you.
No doubt about it,life is in phases and the phases of life always modulate between a high moment and a low moment. And no matter how long we live, these two phases are bound to interfere and affect us to a large extent mentally, psychologically, socially, economically, and financially.
We are created and wired in a manner that we should not always expect the unexpected but the reality of life is always exhibited and displayed in a manner that we should always expect the unexpected. There is a need for us not to shy away from this reality of life that often times than none, the life of every human being existing on earthly pedestal swings between the expected and the unexpected.
Every phase and every moment needs more of appropriate and prompt management of issues and situations by relying on the inherent values and benefits proferred by time to heal any form of injuries and wounds you might have sustained while you are deeply enmeshed in any form of challenges.
Without any iota of doubt, time heals.Time will always give you an ample opportunity to understand and see the brighter side of whatever you might be passing through because when there is life, hope of a better future always beckons.
There is hope for a glorious and a better future for anyone who believe in the concept of the healing virtues of time.
You might have lost a friend,a colleague,a relative and a heartrob to the cold hands of death and you might have been mourning over your loss for a long period of time,no matter how deeply the cut of your wounds and shattered heart might be, if you can give yourself time, the wound will heal up gradually.
It is at the point of allowing your wound to heal up, that you allow the best inherent in you to fizzle out thereby making you a better person with your story becoming a source of testimony and an article of motivation to others.
Never allow the moment of mourning you are passing through to take hold of the better part of you.The better part of you is made available for you to be maximized and optimized for you to create a world whereby others that are passing through similar situationa and condition will learn from your story and have something to hold on to in the course of their passing through a phase that seems strange.
Weep not child!
Rise up!Rise up!! Rise up!!!
It is time for you to stand on your feet.
It is time for you to allow your days of mourning to fizzle out.
This is a personal responsibility.
You have what it takes to laugh even amidst the moment of mourning being experienced by you.
The best in every man is expressed when you are succesful in rising far above the challenges you are passing through.
Be the man you are created to be.
Heaven is in you.
Hell is in you.
You have all it takes to unravel the potentials in you.
Ahead of you lies a glorious horizon.
Take hold of your glorious future.
There are many coast and territories waiting to be conquered.
Never allow mourning to prevent you seeing a brighter day that lies ahead of you./
The executive director of Oxfam International said on Sunday she was heartbroken by a sexual misconduct scandal in Haiti that prompted Britain’s government to threaten to cut off aid funding to charities.
Oxfam, one of Britain’s biggest charities, has condemned the behaviour of some former staff in Haiti, after a report in the Times Newspaper said aid workers paid for sex while on a mission to help those affected by the 2010 earthquake.
Britain’s aid minister said government would cut aid funding from any charity that did not comply with a new review into their work overseas, calling reports of sexual exploitation in the sector “utterly despicable”.
Winnie Byanyiwa, who became executive director of Oxfam International in 2013,said she was saddened by what took place in 2010 and that it could not happen under systems and rules put in place since.
“I feel deeply deeply hurt…What happened in Haiti was a few priviledged men abusing the very people they were supposed to protect-using the power they had from Oxfam to abuse powerless women. It breaks my heart,”Byanyima said in an interview with Reuters TV in New York.
“We want to restore trust. We want to build that trust. We are committing to be honest,to be transparent and to be accountable in addressing this issue of sexual misconduct. We are in a different place today”she said.
British Aid Minister Penny Mordant said on sunday that she would write to British charities that work overseas demanding they declare any problems relating to the duty they have to protect their staff and the people they work with from harm and abuse-so called safeguarding.
Byanyima said charities must stop people who do not share their values from joining their organizations.
“We need to do more in terms of investigations and sharing the results of those investigations so that investigations so that offenders don’t go on to offend in other organization she said.
She said Oxfam would share with the relevant authorities all the information it had relating to the 2010 incident.
“You know it’s not within our power to return people who are not our staff to Haiti to face prosecution, she said.”But we will avail everything that we know from investigation to whichever authority wants to have this”.
On Friday,Oxfam said allegations that underage girls may have been involved were not proven,it said four members of staff were dismissed as a result of the investigation and three resigned before the end of the investigation.
Reuters could not independently verify the allegations contained in the Times report and was unable to immediately reach any of the Oxfam staff who worked in Haiti.
Oxfam neither confirmed nor denied the Times newspaper report but said its misconduct findings had “related to offences including harrasment, intimidation and failure to protect staff as well as sexual misconduct”.
Reporting by Angela Moore;Writing by Daniel Wallis;
I spent part of my time in the course of last week attending to a sort of issue that has to do with my help in putting mind into a personal issue that has to do with a familiar being reported to me about her view concerning what she is passing through at the moment.
Interestingly,I found myself being called to attend to an issue through a phone call yesterday but at the end of the day while ruminating on the content of my versed and lengthy discussion on the phone, my mind was inspired along a certain random line of thought which resulted into a kind of deep rumination and I kept on asking myself thesame question.
At the end of my rumination, the title of this publication popped up into my consciousness and I asked myself this question.
How can someone be idle for so long doing nothing productively?
Lets embark on a story-line that will lay bare what exactly transpired in the course of my discussion on the phone.
Tolani has graduated a couple of years ago precisely since 2009 from one of the best university in Nigeria and she had her degree in one of the humanities.Since graduation from the university, she has been hell bent looking for a good job, a kind of job that is commonly referred to as dream job.
It can never be submitted to be a wrong desire for anyone to have the kind of dream Tolani had in terms of job she is looking for.It is a normal thing and even almost every young graduate has been seen to be guilty of this wishful thinking at one point or the other.
As time goes on and as the days keeps adding up,her desire and dream of getting her dream job keeps becoming a source of hope and a mirage because she needs no dibia for her to understand and comprehend that such a dream might take eternity to be fulfilled.
Though, she is not to be blamed for beibg hopeful for a better and a brighter day but she is expected to understand some basic realities of life and one of it says:
“When the preferrable is not available, the available becomes preferrable”.
The inability of Tolani to reason along this line of thought became a foolishness on her part by refusing to take up some jobs that came on her way, though these sets of jobs are far below her expectation but she was expected to understand that a drop of water with sand makes a mighty ocean.
Inspite the numbers of years she has spent fruitfulessly in search of job, till now she is still busy hoping for a day when a particular dream job will surface from the blue sky.
It is a known fact and it is a common global imbalance and disorder that unemployment is on the rise across the length and breadth of the entire world.Unemployment and under-employment is a social malaise that is ravaging the existence of humanity without any possible solution in view.
Though, many societies across the world are making necessary efforts to curb the effect of unemployment, other societies could be concluded to have no inkling of what could be done to nib the scourge of unemployment in the bud especially in the continent of Africa.
And one of such country in the continent of Africa is Nigeria.
Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to 18.80 percent in the third quarter of 2017 from 16.20 percent the second quarter of 2017.
Unemployment Rate in Nigeria avaraged 10.63 percent from 2016 until 2017 reaching an all time of 19.70 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 and a record low of 5.10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Unemployment is often used as a measure of the health of the economy. The most frequently measure of unemployment is the unemployment rate, which is the number of unemployed people divided by the number of people in the labour force.
Unemployment is the situation of actively looking for employment but not being currently employed. The unemployment rate is a measure of the prevalence of unemployment it is calculated as a percentage.
In Nigeria, while some people are unemployed, others are underemployed with take home pay not conmesurate enough to meet up with daily personal and economic needs and other forms of exigencies.
Eventhough, the scourge of unemployment has been somehow difficult to be curtailed and curbed, it is important and pertinent for everyone concerned and those who are in search of job to be up and doing by making sure that they are creatively and productively involved in one economic endeavour or the other.
It is quite wrong and unacceptable as a form of motive and idea for anyone who is on the line of seeking employment to be caught up in the web of idleness because many of the people concerned are found of giving excuses that they are waiting and expecting their dream job, hence they fold their arms doing nothing.
While you await that dream job that will meet up with your expectation and aspirations with salary rolling up to six digits figure,it can never be bead, if you get yourself engaged practically and productively with any form of human endeavour that will give little to you before the actualisation of your dream job becomes a reality.
According to common parlance:
“A single bird at hand is more than millions in the forest”.
Often times than none, the actualisation of your dream job always take time before it materialised but before the reality unfold, one needs to be engaged practically, productively and economically in a simple way that will enhance and ensure your chances of not being found idle.
Having your dream job could be concluded to be a blessing from God but it should be known to anyone seeking God’s blessing that the emergence of God’s blessing always prosper on the fact that the person seeking such must be found doing something meaningful that is a source of value-addition.
The blessing of God can never multiply on nothing, it multiplies on something tangible because no matter how many times you multiply zero with something, the end result will be zero forever but when the blessings of God meet the little in your hands, it ends up expanding and enlarging.
You have to be busy doing something contributory and productively no matter how little it is for you to solve the issue of underemployment and unemployment that has been starring at you over a long period of time.
